1-Month Weigh-In

Anderson had his first-month doctor's appointment last week. It was basically for general check-up and vaccination.  Of course we were mainly interested in making sure that he has gained an appropriate amount of weight and has stretched out sufficiently.  The results are in:

• Weight: 9 lbs 12 oz (4.42kg); weight gain of 30% since birth
• Length: 22.5 in (57 cm); growth of 22% since birth.
  

Translated: he's doing fine.  Just on target with the weight, and a little bit longer than most other babies at the same age, so we'll keep doing what we've been doing.  General health is very good, and he made it through his second vaccination without complications as well.
