It all started with a roughly two-hour flight, spending time with friends, and enjoying the just-below-100-degrees, dry desert heat (err, air conditioned, anyways), as well as a road-trip to the beautiful city of Sedona. Now you're probably wondering how that worked out. Well, better than we ever hoped for,
considering that we didn't quite know what to expect on many fronts. Flying for example was a breeze:
- We got on the plane.
- Anderson got excited as soon as the plane started moving.
- He laughed excitedly during take-off and observed at all the things at the airport passing by faster and faster.
- Once in the air the scenery until we're so high that things did not seem to move anymore.
- He ate his snack.
- Slept until the plane landed.

And that's pretty much what transpired on both flights.
In Phoenix he not only met Ken and April for the first time, but also his new canine friend
Dodger, the probably friendliest dog in the world. After some initial apprehension, it only took about a day from being afraid to chasing Dodger around. Sedona was beautiful as we arrived late afternoon and watched the sun set.
All in all a (too) short trip, but the flying was a great experience not only for baby Anderson, but also for us parents. Dealing with the added complexity of traveling with a little one on this short trip prepared us well for our December travel when we'll be going about 6,000 miles by plane.
