Today's the day, (un)fortunately, when Fiona went in to get her head scanned and have her cranial band (a.k.a. baby helmet) built. Check out the setup below. She first had to wear that tight wight sock, (not a fashion statement), where a sensor was attached to the top of her hear. Once she was jammed into the chair, the lights were turned off and the technician scanned her head with a laser device. The scan was stored as a 3-D image in the computer, and the scan was then sent to the factory for building her helmet in the target head shape. Cool stuff. The helmet will arrive in about 10 days, and we'll go in for a fitting.
