No Sleep Till...

... no, not Brooklyn, but at least until Anderson sleeps.

Since we've been involved in this whole baby thing, one thing that we found curious is that *everything* that happens, whether it's painful, awkward, weird, funny seems to have a reason for it.  Mommy's bathroom visits before birth aligned perfectly with the feeding schedule, and her lack of appetite during pregnancy made sure she didn't eat things unsuitable for the baby.  When Anderson was born, we were fortunate that he slept well, didn't cry much (or loud for that matter) and seemed to be fairly content overall.  This allowed us remain sane in the early couple of weeks with all that change underway.  Over the past week or so, the fussiness has definitely increased, perfectly aligned with our recovery from birth.  This means that the calming methods are becoming even more important, including the recent introduction of a pacifier.

Anderson hasn't been on the scale since the 2-week doctor's visit, but we're figuring he has been gaining his share of weight since then.  Born at seven-some pounds, it's definitely noticeable that he's added a couple of pounds or so since then.  He also seems to have stretched out in length.  We'll have exact measurements soon.
